2. What We Collect
- Local preferences: Your selected language and consent choices are stored in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device.
- No tracking cookies: We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party advertising or behavioral tracking.
- No account required: The app does not require sign-up. We do not collect your name, email, or location.
- Server logs: When self-hosted on your machine, no logs leave your device. When hosted on a server, the operator may retain anonymous request logs (IP, user-agent) for up to 7 days for security purposes only.
3. Lawful Basis (Art. 6 GDPR)
Local-storage preferences are processed under your explicit consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in providing a functional language switcher (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR).
4. Third-Party Services
- Google Fonts: Inter and Cormorant Garamond are loaded via Next.js' built-in font system, which self-hosts the fonts at build time. No font requests reach Google at runtime.
- Frischeparadies links: Product links open the third-party Frischeparadies shop. Their privacy policy applies once you click through.

BeefSommelier is intended for adults interested in meat connoisseurship and cooking. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
